New Book Available ---Scrum Product Ownership - Balancing Value From the Inside Out
Published on LuLu.com on March 24, 2009 In the spirit of Henrik Kniberg's Scrum & XP from the Trenches book, I've written a guide for the Scrum Product Owner. In it I try to fill many of the practice gaps that exist for this truly crucial role. You can pick-up a copy here...
And another Product Owner Book & Guidance... There seems to be a trend building focused towards the Product Owner. (a good thing :-) Almost at the same time Anna Forss has written Confessions of a Serial Product Owner. You should grab a copy of it. In my view it's a quite gentle introduction to the role of Product Owner. It's relatively short and quite a fast read. But the contents are driven by real, in the trenches, experience that comes through very nicely. It seems that Anna has been blogging about "Agile stuff" for awhile and you can catch up on her thoughts here. I'm starting to think that 2009 might be the Year of the Product Owner. How interesting will that be?
ArticlesThis will be a clearinghouse for articles, conference presentations, book projects and supporting materials for our primary areas of interest. Fourth Quarter 2005 IS-SIG Review, an article entitled "Airline Communication?" that is focused on effective project communications - using an anti-pattern model. Email us if you want a copy. We've been relatively active publishing in Software Test & Performance magazine.
If you're considering starting (re-starting) an automation effort, I strongly suggest readint the material within the series. It really focuses on getting things off on the right foot. I'm also developing this material into a presentation entitled: Test Automation: Keys for Smart Starts.
April 2006 article in Better Software magazine on (Release Criteria). Email us if you want a copy. My Metrics artcle from ST&P March 2005 was also published in the The Journal of the Quality Assurance Institute - July 2006, Volume 20, Number 3. In September 2007 I was interviewed by Empirix QAZone while at the ST&P East conference. The questions focused on traditional test planning and mostly on "testing in Agile". You can find the transcript here - http://qazone.empirix.com/thread.jspa?threadID=450&tstart=0 I've also got a variant of the above ST&P automation articles running on CM Crossroads - QA Crossroads portal here - www.qacrossroads.com Look for more articles on Project Management, Testing, Development and Configuration management during the course of the year.
